Curriculum
At each grade level, Nazareth Hall Middle Scholl follows and academic
core curriculum approved by the New york State and the Commission
on Elementary Schools Middle States Association in Science, Mathematics,
English, Social Studies, Foreign Language, Physical Education and
Health. These courses are further augments by co-curricular subjects
including Art, General Music, Computers, Dance, and some Career
Education.
Instruction is divided into a six-day cycle that alternates with
odd and even days. Generally, classes are scheduled in 40 minutes
and 80 minutes blocks of time depending on the discipline and requirements
of a specific course. English, Math, Social Studies, Science, Religious
Studies and Foreign Language meet in the assigned block, while Art
Music, Career Education, Physical Education and Health, Dance and
Computer are scheduled to meet on a rotational basis. A Study Skills
class and Resource are available to all students and are provided
as needed to advance the development of academic success and foster
good study habits.
