NAZARETH STUDENTS ARE READING 3 AP PLES BOOK NOMINATIONS. A New York State Children’s and Teen's Choice Award The Youth Services (YSS) and School Library Media (SLMS) Sections of the New York Library Association are pleased to announce the 2010 book nominations for the 3 Apples Book Award, a New York State Young Readers', Children’s and Teen’s Choice Award. The 3 Apples Book Award was developed to encourage the joy of reading for pleasure, and to give the students of New York State the opportunity to participate in honoring their favorite books. The choice of books to nominate is as wide as the students reading interests and tastes, making this truly a Children’s and Young adult Choice award. Each year, students in grades Pre K through 12, ages 4 to 18, have the opportunity to nominate their favorite book at either their school or public library. Every student had the opportunity to nominate once. The top nominees have been announced and students will be encouraged to read the books selected. Opportunities to read the nominated books will be provided through the New York State local public libraries and through their local school library. Students who have read at lease 3 of the books nominated will vote in April for the book that they believe should receive the 3 Apples Award for 2010.
