The Nazareth Library Media Center was transformed into a taping studio on Tuesday, October 27, 2009.
From classics to baseball stories, realistic fiction to fantasy, six enthusiastic middle school book reviewers gave convincing book reports as a camera man taped each of them for WXXI’s Homework Hotline Book Review Segment that airs every Thursday on WXXI television at 5:30PM.
Students participating and their reviewed books were: Caroline Crilly: THE SECRET GARDEN by Frances Hodgson Burnett Warren Carter: TOUCHING SPIRIT BEAR by Ben Milaelsen Amir Carter: HEAT by Mike Lupica Joseph D'Ambrosio: HOLES by Louis Sachar Christopher Sims: ABSOLUTELY NORMAL CHAOS by Sharon Creech Kelvin Knight: THE BOY WHO RAN FOR PRESIDENT by Dan Gutman Sr. Anna Derouchie, School Library Media Specialist, worked with the students and arranged for WXXI to come to the school.
