***With the fluid situation, and things changing daily we will be shifting to 'indirect teaching' via intranet. Please make sure that your child is logging in daily to Google classroom and completing assigned work. There is work assigned everyday. Also, each student needs to read the daily stream and classwork sections. I post daily as a way to stay connected and continue teaching.***
Please continue to check my teacher's page daily for any updates.
ACADEMIC INTERVENTION SERVICES (AIS)
My name is Maggie Hummel, and I have been a teacher for almost 20 years. This is my second year teaching at Nazareth Elementary. I graduated from St. John Fisher College with a Masters Degree in Special Education.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am married and have four children, plus a cat. Together we enjoy traveling, going for walks, and hanging out.
Academic Intervention Services (AIS) and/or Response to Intervention (RtI) are services intended to support instruction provided by the general curriculum and to assist students in meeting learning standards. This additional support is provided by utilizing a variety of research based intervention programs to meet the learning style of each and every student.
