Our Philosophy

Nazareth Elementary continues its long tradition of quality education in a loving, safe and faith-filled environment. Nazareth strives to fulfill the purpose of Catholic education as stated in the Bishops' Pastoral, “To Teach as Jesus Did."

  • To teach the message of Jesus
  • To build community
  • To be of service
  • To worship together

Instruction in Gospel values is a vital part of our school program. These Christian values permeate all subject areas and all aspects of our school day. Students and faculty have many opportunities to work, pray, and play together!

We challenge our students to strive for excellence, make choices based on Gospel values, embrace diversity, and serve others.
United with our families, we educate the whole child helping each to grow academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally.

Teachers at Nazareth enter the classrooms each day not just with a sense of professionalism, but with a sense of God. They educate the heart as well as the mind. It is a collective effort with the entire staff to provide successful student outcomes, high staff morale, and a strong sense of community.

Welcome to Nazareth Elementary... Where faith, love, and learning thrive!

Our Curriculum

The best of the NYS Learning Standards are integrated into our challenging curriculum to motivate, encourage and excite our students about learning. We continually access student growth using internal assessments and benchmarks, plus the NYS tests in ELA, Math and Science.

Every teacher and staff member knows every child, and they truly care about the students. Both of our children have done very well academically at Nazareth, but they are also respectful, great friends to their classmates, and love giving back to their community. We definitely feel as though Nazareth has contributed to making our children into who they are today. Kristina and Jeremias M. Nazareth Parents

Nazareth has been an absolute blessing to my family. We have never regretted the decision. Nazareth has helped to instill strong values and a love for learning (especially reading!) The support both in and out of the classroom has helped our boys to thrive. We owe a debt of gratitude to every teacher that has poured into our boys over the years. Deb H.
