The Reddington Scholarship

The Reverend John A. Reddington Scholarship provides need-based financial assistance to families within the Diocese of Rochester who are seeking a Catholic elementary or secondary school education for their child.

This scholarship helps ensure that a faith-filled Catholic education remains accessible to families for whom cost may otherwise be a barrier.

Eligibility

  • Families with a maximum annual household income of $60,000 or less

  • Students attending a Catholic elementary, middle, or high school within the Diocese of Rochester

  • Students must demonstrate financial need and be in good academic standing

Award Information

  • Scholarships typically range from $100–$500 per year

  • Award amounts may vary based on demonstrated need and available funds

  • Families must reapply each year to be considered

Application & Award Process

  • Applications are submitted annually and require proof of income (such as a federal tax return)

  • The scholarship is administered by Canandaigua National Bank

  • Scholarship funds are sent directly to the student’s school once enrollment is verified and are applied toward tuition or eligible educational expenses
