Celebrating Black History Month by Learning About Female African Americans Who Made a Significant Impact During Their Lives

As part of our celebration of Black History Month, each classroom chose a female African American author, scientist, or activist to learn more about. They then created a display about their person including photos, vital statistics, timeline, interesting facts, etc. The displays were seen by all students who completed a scavenger hunt to ensure they learned key facts about each of the individuals highlighted.
