Restorative Justice has become more and more prominent within the school setting and has become a way for students to communicate their feelings as well as connect with one another on a personal level. Personally, I feel that alongside the basic learning standards of school, students need to learn acceptance, tolerance, and become familiar with the idea of diversity. In my Schools Ability and Learning class, I learned about tolerance, not only of race/ethnicity, but of disabilities and abilities as well. RJ focuses on diversity, acceptance, as well as socio-emotional learning.
