Nazareth Hall Cadets to Get Ten Awards
Ten awards will be presented at the annual spring review of the Battalion of Cadets at Nazareth Hall Cadet School at 2 p.m. Sunday at Alameda Street and Raines Park. Thomas Cocuzzi, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cocuzzi, Sr., of 349 Newcastle Road, will receive the Officers Cup as the Cadet who contributed most to the military program and the Music Award for exceptional work in the band.
Other winners: Honor Division, the “Muskateers,” Honor Platoon, the Fifth Platoon: Drill Masters Cup. Dennis Pilato, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pilato, 1796 Culver Road; Cadet of the Year Francis Ciaccia, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ciaccia, 212 Genesee St.: DAR Good Citizenship medal, James Kridel, son of Dr. and Mrs. Donald Kridel, 1076 North Greece Road, Greece Athlete Award, Joseph Musso, son of August Musso, 31 Augustine Street., and the late Mrs. Musso; Second Music award, Robert Barone, son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Barone, 93 Revella Street., and Good Sportsmanship award, William Luscher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Luscher, 101 Birr St.
The ceremony will be open to the public and will feature Aquinas Institute’s Band.
