• Library Media Center

The Library Media Center is designed to meet the challenges that today’s students and staff face as they become effective users of ideas and information. Students have a scheduled library period each week that orients each class to the library's purpose, library skills, and the materials available. The program is also structured to integrate information literacy skills within the curriculum areas rather than teach them in isolation. Therefore, classes can be scheduled in the Library Media Center during an academic subject area class.

The library has a fully automated library catalog and circulation system. Materials selected for the collection will meet a wide range of teaching and learning styles, interests, and abilities. One will find books, DVDs, and books with CDs, electronic databases, and Internet sites when one searches the automated library catalog.

The Library Media Specialist works collaboratively with teachers and students to locate information found in our media center collection.
